Best Season

The only international airport is near the capital Male and is connected by flights to and from important cities of the world. There are no cruises to the Maldives and very few private yachts are willing to go there.

There is a round the clock ferry service from the airport to Male. From Male you have a slew of options for getting to your resort. The national airline connects 4 major islands.You can also get around by seaplane, helicopters, or by local boats.

Staying
Out of the 1192 islands more than 70 are resort islands which are not inhabited by local population. The quality of accommodation varies from island to island and so does the prices.
